During Camden’s baseball game in Madbury, we went for a little walk. I said, “do you want to built a fairie village?” “YESSS!” I asked what the four most important things people need to survive. You thought about it and we talked about it. Soon the answers were flying out of your mouths: shelter, water, food and warmth. Good job! We started out by finding Y branches which provided the strength to support the roof. After that, everything came together. The village had a house (shelter); garden (food); fire pit (warmth) and pond (water). You built a few extras including a sleeping area and a wood pile. Madigan created a “hat rack” with tiny acorn tops balanced on twigs. A magnificent fairie village! We wondered how long it would last. Let’s do it again soon.
